Children's Wellbeing Practitioner and CBT Therapist

Dunette Griffiths

I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with extensive experience supporting children, young people, and their families to improve their emotional wellbeing and mental health.

With a background in Psychology, I have worked across a range of settings, including schools, NHS Children’s Services, and registered children’s homes, supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. My experience enables me to understand the unique challenges that children, adolescents, and families can face and to tailor support to meet their individual needs.

As a qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner and CBT Therapist, with a special interest in neurodiversity, I use evidence-based approaches to help children and young people develop practical skills to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, while building confidence and effective strategies for managing life’s challenges.

My approach is warm, relaxed, and person centred. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where young people feel heard and understood. I also believe that lasting change happens when families feel empowered, so I work collaboratively with parents, carers, and wider support networks, equipping them with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to support their young person beyond therapy.

My passion is helping children, young people, and their families not only overcome difficulties but thrive. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy travelling, keeping active through fitness, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
