CBT Therapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse

Chioma Dafikpaku

Hi, I’m Chioma. I am an accredited psychotherapist with over 12 years’ experience as a mental health nurse within the NHS, supporting children, young people, adults and older adults.

I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to talk openly about what’s going on for you. I work with a range of difficulties including OCD, anxiety disorders, trauma, PTSD, depression, and challenges with emotional regulation. I also have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals.

I offer therapy for a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood, burnout, low self-esteem, OCD, panic and phobias. I have a particular interest in working with trauma and PTSD. I offer both structured therapies such as CBT and ACT, as well as more explorative therapies such as psychodynamic informed therapy.

My approach is collaborative, structured and tailored to you. I often use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a practical and evidence-based therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected, and how making changes in these areas can improve how you feel.

Chioma enjoys cooking and baking with her children and when she’s not running around after them, she enjoys keeping fit at the gym.
